Speaker Profile: Parag Chitalia 

Parag Chitalia has a Bachelor of Technology-Mechanical Engineering from IIT-Bombay and a Master of Science-Management Science from Case Western Reserve University, USA. He brings over 23 yrs of Global Supply Chain Management experience.

Consulting with over 200 Global Fortune 500 Companies during his 20+ years, he has helped with Supply Chain Re-Engineering and Planning programs. He has managed Supply Chain Consulting Services Practices in the US (16 yrs) and APJ (3 yrs).

He is currently Director for Global Operations, Supply Chain Analytics at Dell International Services. At Dell, he is responsible for driving Supply Chain Best Practice Globalization, Analytics Strategy.

Speaker Profile: Dr. Raghav Rau

Raghava Rau has over 16 years of work experience in the field of Analytics which includes expertise on various domains like customer analytics, pricing analytics, and supply chain planning. He has worked in solving large scale business problems using Analytics and Optimization approaches.

He has contributed to the development of Margin Optimizer for real time up sell recommendations to ISRs based on customer needs. His forte is Data Mining, Optimization, Advanced Analytics and Statistical Modeling. He is a Doctorate from IIT Chennai and  also an  alumnus of IIT Kharagpur

Speaker Profile: Dr. Sudarsh Kailas, Pattern Recognition Research Institute

Dr. Sudarsh works at PRRI developing algorithmic solutions that (1) make sense of vast volumes of data (a problem facing nearly every aspect of human endeavour today) and, (2) automate cognitive activities such as reading handwriting, recognising cancerous cells, detecting defects or recognising a moving target or a face in a crowd – something so simple for humans and experts, but amazing (and difficult) for a machine to do. He is also part of a number of world-wide think-tanks in the U.S., Europe, Singapore and Russia.

His focus and specialities include: Pattern Recognition Algorithms. Cancer Detection. Industrial Automation. Medical Diagnostics. Defense. Automotive. Character Recognition. Biometrics. Traffic detection. Cell counting. Automated Quality Control. Simulation. etc.

He has invented many world-best technologies including the worlds fastest 2D
Continuous wavelet transform software (sold to Critical Technologies Inc, U.S.A.) and the one of the worlds best Voice Recognition systems (sold to Govt. of India, led to the first ever conviction – death sentence – to terrorists) etc.He has mentored over a couple of thousand young people as their thesis guide (PhD to BTech).

He is a PhD (Aerospace Engg,1989) from IISc under Prof Roddam Narasimha. He has held various positions including the ones below in his career:

  • Head, Advanced Technology Lab and Deputy Project Director of SARAS Project, National Aerospace Labs, Bangalore
  • General Manager and Head of Technology, Siemens, Bangalore
  • Founded Siemens R&D in India
