Balaji VenkataramanBalaji is an IT Data Warehouse/ Business Intelligence Professional having around 16 years of Industry Experience [Profile] with a tenure of 8+ years at Dell. He is currently a BI Evangelist with Analytics and Business Intelligence Team at Dell. He is also a passionate Information Excellence Volunteer, contributing to the continued knowledge share focus from the group.

Topic: Data Design Process and Considerations

With this presentation, Balaji intends to provide a sneak peek into key activities that goes into a Data Design Process  for an Enterprise Data Warehouse. He intends to cover the challenges, considerations and standard practices. He hopes that this session will serve as an introduction to those who are new to Data Design for an Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Speaker: Subboo – (Subrahmanyam DVR)

Subboo_SmallerSubboo is an Enterprise Architect with around 8 years at Intel and overall 18+ years in the industry. Holds an MBA in Marketing Management and a Bachelors in Engineering. Strategized, Architected and enabled many enterprise solutions in Business Intelligence, Information Architecture & Design, Information Modeling and Information Research. He is currently focused on redesigning data foundation for customer area at Intel.

In free time, works on his PHD thesis, DAMA activities and participate in social service. He is also a passionate Information Excellence group volunteer contributing to the group’s focus and knowledge share focus.

Topic: Journey into Dimensional Modeling Space

Dimensional modeling needs are shaping up differently (even if in a limited fashion) with the changing world of BI and Agile practices. Gap is in the mindset of the designers that analysis, modeling requirements and opportunities will go away with the agile practices. This session discusses Dimensional modeling aspects interactively with the participants and help them grow as designers in Data warehousing areas with simple, easy to understand modeling techniques.
